2019 CIE/USA-DFW Young Achiever Award

Young Achiever Award (YAA) promotes and recognizes exceptional academic excellence in STEM, and active involvement of extra-curricular activities and community services of the youths. The award is to recognize students of 10th and 11th grade with top academic achievements at school, outstanding engineering and science accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and active involvement of community services. The award will be presented at the CIE/USA-DFW 2019 Annual Convention evening banquet at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel on Friday August 16, 2019.

2019 CIE/USA Asian American Engineer of the Year Award

AAEOY stands for Asian American Engineer of the Year award, an annual recognition event on the national platform to honor the most distinguished professionals with their leadership, technical achievements and remarkable public services. As a part of the National Engineers Week (DiscoverE) Program, AAEOY was first introduced in 2002, This event has since become a prestigious and important forum for Corporate America, Academia, and Government entities in promoting of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) activities.

ONLINE: 2020 CIE/USA-DFW Spring Technology Symposium

The CIE/USA-DFW Chapter is proud to unveil our first ever WEBINAR event for the 2020 Spring Technical Symposium, \"AI for Real-Life Application\", and Leadership Assessment and Mentoring Program (LAMP), \"The Future of Diversity and Inclusion\". ONLINE: 2020 CIE/USA-DFW MathComp/MathFun

The Annual MathComp/MathFun event and Parenting Seminar are the flagship events of the CIE/USA-DFW youth program. They attract the participation of nearly 1000 students, parents, educators, and volunteers each year. This grand math fair is composed of three events: (1) a math competition, (2) a math fun fair, and (3) a parenting seminar. The main goal is to stimulate young students\' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) subjects.

ONLINE: 2020 DFW Youth English Speech Contest

The Youth Speech Workshop is part of the CIE/USA-DFW’s Youth English Speech Contest Program. The goal of the event is to stimulate students’ interests and boost their confidence and competence in public speaking. This year, we have invited experienced speakers and evaluators from Texas Dragon Toastmasters club, as well as the 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking, Jim Key, as our guest speaker. The workshop will be held via Zoom Webinar on June 20, 2020 and will be free of charge! The event is hosted by CIE/USA-DFW and organized by Texas Dragon Toastmasters club.

ONLINE: 2020 CIE/USA-DFW Annual Convention

On August 8-9th, CIE/USA-DFW hosted the virtual fall symposium and annual convention. Hundreds of people registered for this two-day event. In the first day event, our fall symposium is full of technical topics covering medical, transportation, big data, artificial intelligence and many other areas. In the second day event, leadership and career development invited three speakers from the medical field, academia and the airline industry, to share their inspirations during the pandemic.

CIE/USA-DFW Chapter is proud to sponsor the Youth Symposium held by DFW AACC (Dallas/Fort Worth Asian-American Citizens Council). The goal of the event is to provide an immersive experience for the incoming classes so that they may have a more clear view of their future directions.

CIE/USA-DFW Chapter (CIE) is a non-profit, politically-neutral organization focusing on engineering and professional well-being and networking. 
 
In order to keep the Chapter a high standard professional organization, I, as a director/officer/volunteer of the Organization, recognizes the responsibilities and the obligations of the position, do hereby declare to abide by the Code of Ethics in discharging my duties.
  • I agree that my motivation in accepting the position is to promote the mission and vision of the Organization;
  • I agree to obey the letter and the spirit of the laws, the Charter, and the by-laws that govern the Organization as a non-profit entity;
  • I agree that it is my duty to inform the members of issues that concern the members or the Organization in a fair and honest manner; but I will not take sides to advocate any political position, nor will I endorse any political candidate in my official capacity as a director/officer/volunteer of the Organization;
  • I agree to use my best efforts to ensure the information disseminated by me or through my work is accurate and not misleading; and
  • I agree not to profit financially myself, my family members or anyone else who is associated with the Organization through the discharge of my duties;
