The tagline should be short\, catchy and reinforce our goals. \nCIE/USA-DFW chapter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit professional organization in the DFW area. Our official name is “Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA\, Dallas-Fort-Worth Chapter”. \nThe mission of the CIE/USA-DFW Chapter is to enable the growth of current and aspiring engineers and technologists by providing a platform for technical exchange\, professional networking\, and STEM awareness. \nOur vision is to be the premier organization where professionals\, students\, parents\, and volunteers come together to foster professional networking\, personal development\, and STEM awareness. \nOur programs and membership are open to any person\, regardless of race\, creed\, color\, or nationality. \nA tagline is a short\, easily remembered phrase that a company uses in its advertisements\, especially on television or the internet\, so that people will recognize it. \nOur logo shows as a Chinese seal in a USA map. Please share with us “Who We Are” in your mind in a simple phrase or sentence. Please keep it short <10 words. \nFor the logo contest\, it can be a special 35th-anniversary logo or a customized logo representing the local DFW chapter. We are open to the best ideas if you have a compelling design. We reserve the right not to award a winner in this category. \nIf selected\, the winner will be announced at the 2024 CIE/USA-DFW annual convention\, the tagline and/or logo will be used on the ciedfw.org website and its publications. A prize will be awarded in exchange for its copyright\, solely for CIE/USA-DFW chapter use. \nPlease submit your ideas and artwork by August 15\, 2024\, to enter the contest. DESCRIPTION:Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA – DFW Chapter invites you to join the CIE Engineering Business Forum. \nThe Chinese Institute of Engineers – DFW Chapter (CIE-DFW) and the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (GDAACC) will host the 2012 Engineering Business Forum at the Maribelle Davis Library\, 7501 Independence Parkway\, Plano\, Texas on Friday November 16\, 2012. The forum is free and open to the public. The event will begin at 12:30PM and conclude by 4:30PM. The forum seeks to connect minority owned small businesses with major corporate and government buyers who are in need of diversified procurement for engineering services and technology products. Anticipated participants at this year’s event include the U.S. Patent Office\, Huawei\, DISD\, Trinity Infrastructure\, Dallas Public Works and Transportation\, Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP and more. \nThe program will include informational sessions regarding company and government procurement procedures and networking time for all participants. Buyers will provide short presentations about their procurement process\, goods and services needed. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion in which the buyers answer questions from the participating suppliers. Afterwards\, suppliers can visit each buyer’s booth for further discussions. \nLast year\, the event attracted 9 buyers and 60 suppliers. The buyers included Lockheed Martin\, American Airlines\, the City of Dallas\, DART\, NTTA\, and DFW Airport. The list of procurement needs included complex machined parts\, 3rd party logistics support\, electrical components\, construction services\, information technology services/products\, direct materials\, capital equipment\, and spare parts/services. Five (5) projects are available for contestants to select. \nPart 2: Engineering Fun\, open to students from 1st to 7th grades\, also the older students who do not prefer to build the projects at home. Ready-Kits will be provided to contestants to build to the specifications on site\, and add on their own creativity. \nRegistration is now open through May 15\, 2010.
