ONLINE: 2020 DFW Youth English Speech Contest

Event Introduction
The Youth Speech Workshop is part of the CIE/USA-DFW’s Youth English Speech Contest (YESC) Program. The goal of the event is to stimulate young students’ interests and boost their confidence and competence in public speaking. This event has served the DFW community for over 10 years, and each year it attracts hundreds of participants including students, parents, educators, and volunteers.
This year, we are excited to host this workshop virtually to provide an educational and fun experience for children and their families. We have invited some of the best speakers from Texas Dragon Toastmasters Club to present crucial techniques in public speaking, including how to organize a speech, how to use vocal variety and body language, and much more. Afterwards, student speakers will apply these techniques with demonstrative speeches, followed by instant evaluations from experienced evaluators, including some Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM).
We are also privileged to have 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking, Jim Key, to be our guest speaker! He has worked with various top Fortune 500 companies to hold programs ranging from effective communication, perseverance, and leadership, and will share his insights here followed by a Q&A session.
The event will be held on June 20, 2020 via Zoom and it is FREE. We look forward to having more participants and interacting with you throughout this event!
